Surah Al-Qamar, Ayah 17

July 25, 2025
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ
And We have certainly made the Quran easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
اور ہم نے قرآن کو نصیحت کے لیے آسان کر دیا ہے، پس کیا کوئی نصیحت حاصل کرنے والا ہے؟

Reflection

This verse emphasizes that Allah has made the Quran accessible and easy to understand for those who seek guidance and remembrance. The word "dhikr" (remembrance) includes both memorization and reflection upon its meanings. Despite the Quran's profound depth, Allah has made its essential guidance clear and comprehensible to sincere seekers. The rhetorical question "Is there any who will remember?" serves as both an invitation and a challenge, encouraging people to engage with the Quran's teachings. This verse appears multiple times in Surah Al-Qamar, emphasizing the accessibility of divine guidance and the human responsibility to seek and apply it.

Context

This verse appears repeatedly in Surah Al-Qamar (The Moon), which recounts stories of previous nations who rejected divine guidance. It emphasizes that the Quran has been made easy to understand, so there is no excuse for ignoring its message.
