Surah Al-Haqqah, Ayah 19-20

August 9, 2025
So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account."

These verses describe the joy and pride of the righteous on the Day of Judgment when they receive their record of deeds in their right hand. Their enthusiastic invitation for others to read their record shows their confidence and happiness about their deeds. The key phrase "I was certain that I would be meeting my account" reveals the mindset that led to their success - they lived with constant awareness of accountability to Allah. This consciousness of the Day of Judgment motivated them to perform good deeds and avoid sins throughout their worldly life. The verses teach the importance of living with the afterlife in mind and the joy that comes from a life well-lived according to divine guidance.
