Surah Ya-Sin, Ayah 82

Reflection

This verse describes Allah's absolute power over creation in the simplest terms. When Allah wills something to exist, He merely says "Be" (kun) and it immediately comes into existence (fayakun). This demonstrates that Allah's creative power is instantaneous, effortless, and unlimited. There's no struggle, delay, or need for materials or tools - His word alone brings things into being. This teaches that Allah's power is beyond human comprehension, that creation is easy for Allah regardless of how complex it seems to us, that Allah's will is immediately effective, and that nothing can prevent or delay what Allah decides to create. This verse provides comfort that Allah can solve any problem or fulfill any need instantly if He wills, and it inspires awe at the magnitude of divine power. It also reminds believers that the same power that created the universe can transform their circumstances in an instant.
