Surah Yunus, Ayah 25

October 2, 2025
وَاللَّهُ يَدْعُو إِلَىٰ دَارِ السَّلَامِ وَيَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
And Allah invites to the home of peace and guides whom He wills to a straight path.
اور اللہ سلامتی کے گھر کی طرف بلاتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے سیدھے راستے کی ہدایت دیتا ہے۔

Reflection

This verse presents Allah's invitation to "the home of peace" (dar as-salam), which refers to Paradise - a place of eternal peace, security, and contentment. Unlike worldly invitations that may have hidden motives, Allah's invitation is purely for human benefit and eternal happiness. The "straight path" mentioned is the clear guidance that leads to this peaceful destination. The verse teaches that Allah actively calls humanity toward ultimate peace and happiness, that Paradise is characterized by complete peace and security, and that divine guidance is available to those who sincerely seek it. The invitation is open to all, but acceptance requires following the straight path of divine guidance. This provides hope and motivation for believers to respond to Allah's call and follow His guidance toward eternal peace.

Context

This verse appears in Surah Yunus (Jonah), which discusses various aspects of divine guidance and human response. It presents Allah's merciful invitation to eternal peace.
