Surah Abasa, Ayah 24-25

August 20, 2025
فَلْيَنظُرِ الْإِنسَانُ إِلَىٰ طَعَامِهِ ۝ أَنَّا صَبَبْنَا الْمَاءَ صَبًّا
Then let mankind look at his food - How We poured down water in torrents.
پس انسان کو اپنے کھانے کو دیکھنا چاہیے، کہ ہم نے پانی کو زور سے برسایا۔

Reflection

These verses invite humans to reflect on their food as a means of recognizing Allah's blessings and power. The simple act of eating, which people often take for granted, is presented as a sign worthy of contemplation. The mention of water being "poured down in torrents" begins a description of the agricultural process that Allah has established to provide human sustenance. This reflection is meant to lead to gratitude and recognition of Allah's continuous care for His creation. The verses teach that everyday experiences, like eating, can become opportunities for spiritual reflection and increased faith when we consider the divine processes behind them. This encourages mindfulness and gratitude in daily life.

Context

These verses appear in Surah Abasa (He Frowned), which contains various reminders about Allah's power and blessings. They encourage reflection on common experiences as signs of divine care.
