Surah Al-Hashr, Ayah 18

O you who have believed, fear Allah. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow—and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Aware of what you do.
Surah Al-Hashr Verse 18

Explanation

The verse calls believers to continual self-accountability. “Tomorrow” refers to the Hereafter; reflecting on one’s deeds fosters taqwa and course-correction. Repeating “fear Allah” emphasizes urgency and sincerity. It teaches that mindful preparation for the afterlife requires regular self-review and God-consciousness.

Context

Surah Al-Hashr addresses communal ethics and remembrance; this ayah urges personal audit before divine audit.
