Surah Al-Haqqah, Ayah 19-20
So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account."
Explanation
These verses describe the joy and pride of those who receive their book of deeds in their right hand on the Day of Judgment - a sign of success and salvation. They will eagerly invite others to read their record, proud of their good deeds and pleased with their outcome. Their statement "I was certain that I would be meeting my account" shows they lived with awareness of the Day of Judgment and prepared accordingly. This teaches that righteous people will be proud of their record on Judgment Day, that living with awareness of accountability leads to good preparation, that certainty about the afterlife motivates righteous behavior in this life, and that those who prepare well for the afterlife will experience joy rather than fear when meeting Allah. The verses encourage believers to live with consciousness of the Day of Judgment and to prepare good deeds they'll be proud to present to Allah.
Context
These verses appear in Surah Al-Haqqah (The Inevitable), describing the joy of the righteous when they receive their book of deeds and their satisfaction with having lived with awareness of divine accountability.
