Surah Luqman, Ayah 13
وَإِذْ قَالَ لُقْمَانُ لِابْنِهِ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهُ يَا بُنَيَّ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّ الشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Luqman said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything] with Allah. Indeed, association [with Him] is great injustice."
اور جب لقمان نے اپنے بیٹے کو نصیحت کرتے ہوئے کہا: اے میرے بیٹے! اللہ کے ساتھ شریک نہ ٹھہرا۔ بے شک شرک بہت بڑا ظلم ہے۔
Explanation
Luqman's primary lesson: Tawhid. Shirk is the greatest injustice—against Allah, truth, and one's own soul.
Context
The wise father's first teaching establishes the foundation for all other wisdom.
