وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَاعِبِينَ ۝ مَا خَلَقْنَاهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

These verses emphasize the serious purpose behind creation. Allah did not create the universe "in play" (la'ibina) - meaning not for amusement, randomly, or without purpose. Instead, everything was created "in truth" (bil-haqq), meaning with wisdom, purpose, justice, and ultimate meaning.
